Mr Jameel is on the Specialist Register as a General Surgeon and has a special interest in Vascular Surgery. Having qualified from Sri Lanka Deen Jameel obtained basic surgical training in Preston hospitals. After post-fellowship surgical training in Lancashire and Sussex he joined the Academic Vascular Surgery Department at St. Mary’s Hospital and the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London where he carried out research on quantification of carotid artery stenosis.
He obtained his Senior Vascular Surgical training in Oxford and Nottingham. He worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Vascular Surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and later as a Lecturer at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. In addition to his publications related to his research he has also written a chapter in a vascular surgery book approved for European Vascular Surgery Board Examination.
