Philip Harris has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at WWL since 1996. He qualified from The London Hospital Medical College in 1985, moving to the North West of England in 1987 to continue his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. During this time he spent two years as a Clinical Research Fellow in Reproductive Medicine, developing his skills and passion for the management of infertility.
He is the HFEA person responsible for the Assisted Conception Unit based at Leigh Infirmary. The unit successfully manages couples undergoing infertility treatments, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).
